Mavis Brown was our guest speaker this month. She presented a slide show and talked to us about life in the Arctic from when she lived there for 9 years in the 1970s.
She brought many samples of clothing made from 'duffle' (felted Hudson's Bay blanket material), furs, and animal hides.

She also had lots of carvings from whale and reindeer bone as well as from the teeth of various animals.
