Victoria stitched 'Willing Hands' from Blackbird Designs Sewing Club book.

It was mounted on the called-for wooden box.
Marilyn stitched 'A Pennsylvania Bird' designed by Hello from Liz Mathews. Marilyn's husband, Kevin, made the frame.
Geri brought in a punch needle piece, 'Lilac Garden' by Michele L. Palmer. It measures 3" x 6".
She also showed off 'Redwork Pears' designed by Annie Beez Folk Art. They were stitched on 40ct linen with the called-for Dinky Dyes Cranberry Cocktail silk thread. The leaves are felt and the stem is an actual piece of twig.

The guild's Constitution and Bylaws were discussed, voted on, and unanimously passed. Next month our Trillium Annual Themed Award (TATA) projects will be judged. The pieces needed to be finished sometime after June 2022. The theme this year is 'Nature'.

April 2023

Some lovely pieces were on display at this month's meeting.

Marilyn completed a monogrammed French purse with her original design and also created a Wessex stitch needlebook to go with it.

Siobhain displayed a German sampler,
bargello on the lid of a box, and a pincushion mounted into a tart shell.
Our spring retreat at Elim Lodge was a big hit with 13 guild members in attendance. Some members from the Scarborough guild joined us. The fall retreat is being planned for the end of September.
