We welcomed a new member, Sonia, who learned about us by way of the Ontario Network of Needleworkers webpage.
At tonight's meeting Geri and Bernie provided instruction on the Palestrina stitch and joining two pieces of fabric respectively. Other specialty stitches and techniques will be demonstrated at our next stitch days and meetings.

Nancy finished some autumn stitching into pillows.
Laura made a project portfolio using embroidered and coloured pieces from Crabapple Hill.
With three wool felt appliqué blocks, she created a Hallowe'en table runner.
Geri finished Maggie Mae from Stacy Nash's Animal Crackers into a pincushion.
Geri's Erin Elizabeth Designs Autumn Biscornu using the called-for DMC threads.
Geri and Jennifer both stitched the Mary Corbet 'Cornflower Scissor Pouch'.
Geri also brought in her fully finished Sunflower Sewing Pouch designed by Durene Jones.
It has a coordinating triangular scissor case.
Our next stitch day will be Saturday, November 2 and the next meeting will be Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
