November 2023

At this month's meeting we finalized plans for our ornament exchange and holiday party for our December meeting. Barbara K asked for volunteers to tech edit her Schwalm project she's preparing for Seminar in May. Many members also started plans for the Round Robin under Meagan's direction.

There were a few items for show and share.

Nancy is embroidering a set of these for the volunteers where she works.

Jeanette finally framed her whitework heart thistle, from a class she took at the EAC Seminar in Charlottetown PEI, designed by Jenny Adin-Christie.
Barbara K designed and created the whitework biscornu and needlebook.

Geri finished the Holly 'n Hardanger ornament from the Just Cross Stitch 2009 Christmas issue. She replaced the red and clear beads with HotFix 'jewels'
and a date charm for the back.

Victoria took a full-day finishing class from Nancy Klein at Gitta's. Nancy favours using upholstery foam for the padding on her ornaments.

Geri also showed off her Moonshine Cabin designed by Jacob de Graaf of Modern Folk Embroidery. It was a collaboration with Evertote and Leo & Roxy floss in 2022.
It was finished like a big hanging ornament.
Our next stitch day is Saturday, December 2 and the next meeting will be December 20, 2023.
