The guild had a stitching day on the first Saturday of January. About a dozen stitchers attended. These were among the first enthusiastic folks to arrive.
At this month's meeting the needle questionnaires were handed in. Members were given several size 26 needles to use for at least 1 hour each and evaluate them. Next month the results will be revealed and there will be a draw among those who completed the questionnaire for a little prize.
Sylvia displayed an Alison Cole piece on silk with various stitches with metal threads.
Marion created a filet-style drawn thread reindeer ornament.Bernie showed us her first cross stitched piece started in 1998, almost finished in 2008 and fully finished into a pillow thereafter. She modified the original pattern by omitting the carolers in front of the house and inserting a snowman.
We are hosting another Saturday stitching day on February 4 and our annual spring stitching retreat the last weekend of April.
